The difference between home office and remote work

Don't confuse home office with remote work.

Here's the difference:

If a company offers remote work, you can decide to work from home OR remote.

But if a company offers the option to work from home, your freedom is limited.

You won't be able to travel to the other side of the world because you know that you'll have to be back in the office by next Friday.

Remote work can mean home office.

But home office can't mean remote work.

Still many companies promise remote work when actually they mean home office.

Know the difference.
