The no. 1 reason why we write

All of us who write - if privately or professionally - are searching for one thing:

That moment when we step back from a text and think:

"Yeah, those words express what I intended to say or felt."

Sometimes the words just seem to fall into place.

It is a moment of joy when you are not even thinking about if this article will perform or not. It's just about having generated truth in some way.

For me, those articles happen out of intuition, in a moment of flow, and without much thinking. Mostly I start writing without knowing where I am heading with it.

They start with just one idea and form themselves as I go along writing, often forming a completely different statement than I originally intended to do.

Usually, those articles only take me up to 3 or 4 minutes, without one moment of reconsidering, second-guessing or re-reading a previous sentence.

This doesn't happen on a daily or even weekly basis. I also can't say when it is going to happen. But those moments are amazing.
